Free Through Recovery

Community Mobilization Event - Tuesday April 24, 2018

You may have heard about the efforts being made locally to connect criminal justice involved individuals with local resources and services to provide them the greatest opportunity to be successful, productive members of our community. The purpose of this event is twofold, first is to educate our community by raising awareness of the issues that are contributing to poor success rates of rehabilitation locally and to inform what the impact is financially and socially on our community. The second is to mobilize our community by explaining the efforts being made, both locally and on the state level, and to provide opportunity for community members to get involved in a manner that suits them.

The program will consist of presentations by Adam Martin from the F5 Project, Patrick Plemel from the Heartview Foundation, and local community members that are in recovery. This will be followed by an open Q & A session that will be moderated by retired District Judge Lee Christofferson.

A light meal will be provided. This event is free and open to the public.

The Community Mobilization Event is Tuesday, April 24th from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Lake Region Heritage Center. If you would like more information regarding this event or if you are unable to attend and would like more information regarding local efforts being made, please contact Rob Johnson (RGJ@LRLEC.ORG).
